I have been riding and working on bikes for years and ordered this bike thinking I would be upgrading a few parts along the away as I've had to do with previous bikes. Well I was way wrong! This bike is simply awesome and its clear to see that technology with bikes has come a long way...
Once this bike is put together and tuned properly (luckily I was able to do that myself) the bike rides very smooth and shifts accurately. The fork is very plush and the whole bike feels and rides solid and quiet.
The 2012 Diamondback has the best bang for your buck with bikes and it's clear to see that the Response Sport is no Wal-mart bike.
This bike is very worthy of any future upgrades, but it rides and operates so nice I'm just going to wear things out and replace as needed. The disc brakes are excellent. The Shimano Acera rear derailleur works better than the sram x that comes on the Diamondback overdrive 29er (which incidently the last bike I purchased but I was never was quite comfortable with it since my height is shorter than average).
I know there are many other expensive bikes out there on the market, but for the average rider who rides a few times a week on normal trails this bike is a great choice...
I strongly recommend the Diamondback Response Sport Mountain Bike (2012 Model, 18-Inch Wheels). Not only are you going to have an endless amount of fun on this bike, it's a great way to exercise and lose weight ...
